Rearranging the Beatles’ Albums

Here is a fun way to listen to all the Beatles’ great music in a slightly different way!  By taking all the tracks from the 2 “Past Masters” collections and the 4 songs that were new on the “Yellow Submarine” soundtrack and dispersing them among the corresponding albums which for the most part included those tracks during their recording sessions or at least during the same time frame-  you can create ‘new’ versions of all 12 of their classic albums and make a somewhat new and fresh listening experience.  Was really fun for me to do and if you dig the Beatles you may like these line-ups too, or wish to create your own track listings.  I took great care and time in deciding where these tracks should go in the albums song-orders and tried to maximize enjoyability, though I realize opinions on these things will vary!  Here are the albums in the way I re-sequenced them, with asterisks (*) next to the newly added tracks.

Abbey Road

(For this album all of the original 17 tracks remained, and in the same order.  I only added “Real Love” and “Free As a Bird” as kind of bonus tracks at the end, since all other tracks had been used!)

I hope you enjoy these playlists or make your own and have fun with it!  As you can see I cut a few tracks from the White Album, (Wild Honey Pie, Revolution 1 and Revolution 9) and understand if some don’t like this, but again you can of course make these playlists any way you would like!  To me it is just really cool to take such a strong album as say “Revolver” and make it even that much STRONGER by having “Paperback Writer” on it, or by having “Strawberry Fields” back on “Sgt. Pepper” where it arguably belongs, or to have “Hey Jude” on the White Album, etc, etc..  Hope you enjoy and happy listening!
